How We Met...
It was love at first swipe!
We met in a cozy little Lower East Side speakeasy. And it was exactly that: so easy to speak to each other! We spent hours swapping travel stories, laughing, and talking about family and knew that we were each other’s person.
The Proposal
The magic happened on May 25, 2021 at Goðafoss (Waterfall of the Gods) located in the river Skjálfandafljót in north Iceland
Halfway across Iceland we came upon a place of pure beauty. With the sun gleaming off the cascading waters, the moment was right. Scrambling to get the ring out and kneel down, Erik was a bit nervous and may have accidentally proposed to Iceland at first, but Debbie momentarily put on her Project Manager hat and helped him deliver a greenlit proposal! A perfect team, going with the flow...
