Welcome to our wedding website!

Erik & Anna are tying the knot! Welcome to our wedding website – we’re so glad you’re here. We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for all of the need-to-know details in the lead up to our big day. Here you’ll find our schedule of timings and venue directions, fun things to do in town, along with our bridal party introductions and relationship history. We’d love for you to take a look around to learn more about our wedding day plans. Don’t forget to RSVP and let us know about any dietary preferences, too. And finally, thanks so much for all of your love and support so far! We can’t wait to celebrate this special day with all of our favorite people.

How we met

First comes school, then comes marriage

The typical college story.... It all started when Anna returned to CSUMB after a year abroad in Ireland studying business. We ended up sharing a few business classes our junior year and during Halloween Erik asked her to attend a costume party (she had absolutely no idea that Erik liked her). Erik missed his shot at talking to her and after the party was over, everyone went home. Erik needed to figure out how to ask her out for a second time to really make an impression. His Christmas party at work was the next opportunity, albeit a bold one. It worked! They really hit it off, there was quite the fire between the two of them. The rest is history...

The Proposal

She didn't expect a thing...

After four long years of friendship and dating, Erik and Anna were planning to celebrate their fourth anniversary together in California's wine country, Napa Valley. It was going to be a surprise as Erik had not told Anna a single thing about the upcoming trip. As the trip neared, Erik began giving hints on the location and Anna eventually figured it out, Napa and Sonoma for the weekend. Anna's spidey sense was going off when she figured everything out and had a feeling that a certain question was going to be asked on this trip. Erik played it off very well. A few weeks prior, Erik really made her mad, he decided to leave on a Sunday (a day both of them have off during the week) to drive down to L.A. to ask for her hand in marriage, or as she thought, to help move his older brother in San Jose after last minute notice the night before (from 5AM to about 8PM). Down in L.A. Erik enjoyed a cup of coffee with David and Diane and eventually mustered up the courage to ask for her hand in marriage. After a cup or two and a great conversation, it was time to hit the road and head back to Monterey before anything alerted Anna. Once on the road to Napa, the test on Erik's nerves was on! He is typically terrible with surprises and couldn't risk messing this up. After the first day all suspicions of the imminent question were gone, Erik did a great job holding back and playing it cool. Next was dinner on the Napa Valley Wine Train, where the best laid plan would eventually unfold. After dinner they took a walk around the train, a slow walk as Anna loves talking to strangers. This really made it difficult for Erik as he was already nervous enough. As they made their way back to the caboose Erik asked a waitress for a few pictures and informed her of what was to come. Anna still had no idea. As the camera clicked for the first few pictures, Erik got to a knee and asked his best friend to marry him.
