Beautiful Syrian cafe with delicious food and amazing ginger cardamon mint tea. It's also right next door to a bookstore that we love called Twenty Stories. There is a small patio adjacent to the cafe with outdoor seating.
Tea or hookah bar depending on the time of day. This has a wonderfully relaxed vibe but is only open in the late afternoons and evenings.

In addition to the wonderful zoo, Roger Williams Park is also a beautiful park in general
Lovely spot for a walk around the lake, kayaking/canoeing, or spending time at a low-key fresh water beach. This park is also a campgrounds. Please note that there are multiple entrances with varying proximity to the beach.
Less than a 10minute drive from the wedding venue, this gorgeous spot has the breathtaking beauty of rocky shores and open ocean without the bustle of Newport. It also has one of the oldest lighthouses in the US.
Newport is about an hour drive from Providence or accessible by ferry. There are many tours of historic mansions and lots of beautiful seaside cliff views via drive (ocean drive) or foot (cliff walk). Just note that it does get quite crowded during the summer, however.
