5:00 pm
Check-in starts at 5pm (but you can come anytime after!). Your room or cabin will be clearly marked and texted to you, even if no one’s at the entrance to greet you. Thursday night is a casual hangout and some fun games for the whole group! No organized dinner plans for Thursday, so feel free to cook at the lodge/cabins or grab food in town. Games will likely start around 7. Later we will enjoy drinks by the fire or hot tubbing in back of the lodge or Karaoke in the Lodge
8:30 am - 11:30 am
Hiking Clothes with layers
We have an optional volunteer opportunity for our guests: David and I wanted to find a way to give back to the beautiful place we love so much and put some energy into preserving nature to kick off our festivities. This event is for people experienced in hiking and okay with getting their hands dirty! Again, this is completely optional! Our goal is to have 8 others join David and I. We know you traveled far and wide to come to Colorado and we want you to spend the time doing anything you want, so no hard feelings if you skip this one. The project is at Little Rainbow Trail which is 15min from the Blue Coyote. We can all car pool together and will walk to the worksite with our volunteer group guide from Salida Mountain Trails.
5:00 pm
Western Theme- wear denim, a bolo tie, cowboy hat, or boots! Have fun, be casual- its a party
This is the official welcome party because not everyone can make it out Thursday. We will have beer and seltzers and plan to grill homemade Hungarian brats! Western Attire not mandatory, but like kinda. Let's boot scoot and boogie the night away. A line dance instructor will be teaching us some fun moves later in the night!
3:30 pm - 11:45 pm
Semi Formal/Cocktail Attire: nice dresses or jumpsuits for the ladies. Boots may be more comfortable than heels, but heels are doable at the ranch! For the guys, suits or jackets and slacks. If you are unsure what to wear text David or Erika. Inspo pictures in the FAQ section
Ceremony is on the ranch property (just like everything else) and will be a short intimate outdoor ceremony. You may possibly need a jacket as weather will vary at this time of the year! Cocktail Hour will follow near the reception area just a short walk from the ceremony. Reception with catered dinner to follow. The whole wedding is outside, but the reception area will be in a heated tent. Please bring a coat if needed as it will be mid October and when the sun goes down we may have a chill in the air. However, dancing in the moonlight should keep us all warm! The DJ has to stop at 10pm due to local noise ordinances and the ranch has a few neighbors. However, we will continue to party at the firepit or in the back of the lodge on the deck and in the hot tub! Bring a bathing suit!
