We met on a dating app called "Coffee Meets Bagel" (Taryn was the coffee and Erik was the bagel). They hit it off right away and had their first date at Bean Hollow in Ellicott City, MD (keeping with the coffee theme. Trying different flavors and blends of coffee together is still one of their favorite hobbies.)
For their second date Erik suggested Wicked Sisters in Hampden. The day they chose ended up because very busy so they were sat at a small table that was practically on top of their neighboring table. Luckily the couple next to them was fun and even though they ended up ordering the last order of brussel sprout appetizers, Erik was able to strike back and order the last available scallops before them! They all ended up sharing some of the dishes and it remains one of Taryn and Erik's favorite memories.
For Taryn's birthday, Erik got them reservations at Wicked Sisters in Hampden where they had their second date. (The brussel sprouts are STILL delicious by the way!) He then took her to Miracle on 34th Street, a well known holiday decoration display in Baltimore, where he officially proposed in front of all the beautiful holiday lights. You know the rest...
