Answer

La Ruta del Vino is a route and cluster of Ensenada municipalities 30 minutes east of Ensenada. La Ruta has its own micro climate which allows for just the right amount of sun, heat, rain, humidity and chilly nights that are perfect to grow certain varietals of grapes. What will the weather be like during September in La Ruta del Vino?

Answer

During September the valleys weather will be warm with chilly nights. The max temperature will be usually 74-81 degrees and the minimum temperatures 58-65 degrees, be ready for that swing in temperatures you can wear shorts during the day but will need a jacket at night.

What should I wear for the ceremony and reception?

The ceremony and reception will be formal, meaning you should wear jacket, tie or bow. We want everyone to have an excuse to suit up and celebrate with us!

What is Clos de Tres Cantos?

Answer

Clos de Tres Cantos is a boutique winery, it was designed by Architect Alejandro d'Acosta and inspired by Maria Benitez Cantarero and Joaquin Moya Cussi, the owners. Clos de Tres Cantos is their retirement project and a way to give back to the community, they donate the proceedings from the tours in their totality to the civil association "ETHOS Y LOGOS" to educate the local community in arts. Clos de Tres Cantos only produces about 1000 liters of wine per year and a lot of thought, science, craft and art goes into every step of the production of the wine from the name and label to the production process.

How do I get to Clos de Tres Cantos?

Answer

Just follow the Ruta del Vino road, until you find Rancho Santa Lucia, located at kilometer 5 in the San Antonio de las Minas town. Take as reference a gray telephone antenna, just a few meters ahead you will be able to see the Clos de Tres Cantos sign approximately 500m from the vineyard. The entrance should be on your right. Adress: Carretera Ensenada- Tecate KM 81, Rancho Santa Lucia, San Antonio de las Minas, Ensenada, B.C.

Do I need to show my invitation to enter the vineyard?

Answer

No, the security guard at the front gate should be able to let you in if you provide him your last name and if you are on the list granted you RSVP'd on time.

What is the quickest border town to cross back in to the U.S.?

Answer

There are different crossing points and it depends where you are going but for example; to Arizona would be Tecate, Algodones or Mexicali, we recommend Tecate or Algodones, the drive through Tecate California is greener and prettier, to California would be Tijuana or Tecate.
