Our story began long before we ever imagined it would become our own. Yul was the younger brother of one of my closest childhood friends. Someone who was apart of my world before either of us knew what life had in store. As time passed, life carried us in different directions, and after her passing, we lost touch. Years later, the universe — and a Facebook game — brought us back together in the most unexpected way. One day in late 2019, I noticed someone attacking my virtual property in the game. I messaged him to fuss —not knowing that a playful confrontation would turn into a conversation...and that conversation into a connection that felt immediate and undeniable. What started unexpectedly quickly became something familiar, easy and real. We began dating on February 1, 2020, and from that day on, we’ve been completely inseparable. Through laughter, growth and life's inevitable challenges, we've built a love rooted in friendship, trust and balance. He’s been my peace, my steady ground — the calm to my chaos, the yin to my yang.
