Things To Do

Jakob Two Trees

Jakob Two Trees

Rainier Trail, Issaquah, WA 98027

This is the large wooden troll in Issaquah. Tesia and Eric went Troll hunting together in North Seattle and Vashon Island, but this is the closer version to the wedding site.

Boehm's Candies, Inc.

Boehm's Candies, Inc.

255 Northeast Gilman Boulevard, Issaquah, WA 98027

Historical candy shop with alpine chapel on the property. On an early date to purchase licorice for Tesia's grandma, Eric reportedly said, "Can I take you to a chapel today? Actually don't answer that."

Confluence Park

Confluence Park

Issaquah, WA 98027

Good walking trail in all seasons. Tesia and Eric kissed in a tree; see if you can guess which one.

Lake Wilderness Park

Lake Wilderness Park

22500 Southeast 248th Street, Maple Valley, WA 98038

Eric and Tesia spotted a quirky houseless dock on this lake while canoeing. There was a for-sale sign with the price of $800k on it. They begun to discuss the question of whether the price was for the land the dock was on or simply the dock itself. They concluded that in this economy the price could very well be for the dock alone. They begun to daydream out-loud about owning a lake house and then quickly moved on, or so Tesia thought... Months later Eric brought Tesia canoeing on Lake Wilderness once more. They rowed out to that same dock where Eric had set up a Little Free Library filled with books that had been meaningful to them as a couple and other little trinkets -- not the least of which was a gorgeous engagement ring. Eric got down on one knee and asked Tesia to marry him. She gleefully accepted!
