Question

Can you recommend accomodations nearby?

Answer

A block of rooms has been set aside at the Hilton Garden Inn in Issaquah. This property is 8 miles (about 12 minutes drive) from our wedding venue. Click on the link to book a room (also available on the travel page on website). You must book by June 1 to get the discount. We’ve been informed that there’s a big soccer tournament on our wedding weekend and hotel rooms are going fast! https://links.h6.hilton.com/f/a/xQSo5DLntJiFrlHn2A-CTg~~/AAQRxRA~/uTOJK_z9aGmDye9UPX_knDqFRE38MJPRhjpMWdhwe_JnP8aljdgZA_b-4CIWMwfAQFVQAUzJrkGQQ4cUXTPBrZ-LXd3jBJNUzzrGze24ZKGMa0HY4QLeKlPfEFeBLzj1_R4h9nVlyqxYVHdTZkj_tufpk6VDtM8Qjwu7iBOVse1FDdk-MMP6KbnHBVm2Hy7N

Question

Tell us about your venue

Answer

The Jim Ellis Preston Community Center was built in 1938 by the Works Progress Administration and features river-rock faced log walls, two fireplaces, a beautiful hardwood floor, a grassy lawn, and a patio with a canopy.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

Parking is limited. We strongly encourage you to carpool. There is a lower parking area for 35 vehicles, and an overflow parking area down the street at the old Preston Mill site can park 20 vehicles. Please don’t park in the 4 spaces directly in front of the facility. You cannot park along the roadway above the facility(past the rockwall before the dumpsters). Question

Will the ceremony be inside or outside?

Answer

We are planning to have the ceremony outside in a shady area. Food and drinks are served inside, but can be eaten either inside or out. Photo booth and dancing will be inside.

Question

May I use my phone?

Answer

We ask that you please silence your phone during the ceremony. At the reception, please use your phones to snap photo booth pics or take candids. You can send any pictures to ericandtesiarowe@gmail.com

Question

Will food be served at the reception?

Answer

We will be serving cocktails and appetizers at 6:00 and lasagne, salad, and garlic bread at 7:00, followed by mini bundt cakes for dessert. Please let us know if you have food restrictions when you RSVP. We want to accommodate you.

Question

What else can I expect at the reception?

Answer

There’ll be lawn games, juggling equipment, and picnic blankets outside, and inside you can visit the photo booth, dance to our favorite songs, and learn some group folk dances. We may have a few other surprises up our sleeves!
