When should I arrive?

Answer

We’ll be hosting optional wedding week activities between December 20–27, 2026, in and around Nairobi and Machakos, so guests are welcome to arrive whenever works best for their schedule. That said, we recommend arriving at least 1–2 days before the official wedding events begin to give yourself time to rest, adjust to the time difference, and settle in before the celebrations.

Do I have to attend every event during wedding week?

Answer

Not at all! Everything outside of the wedding ceremony and reception is completely optional. We’re planning a full week of activities for anyone who wants to explore, relax, and celebrate together, but guests should feel free to join whatever fits their schedule and energy.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ll share recommended hotels, Airbnbs, and room blocks on the Travel & Accommodations page as they become available.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes — we plan to provide transportation for key wedding events, including transportation from Nairobi to Machakos on the morning of December 24, transportation between the hotel and wedding venues, and return transportation to Nairobi after the celebrations.
