About Harsens Island

Harsens Island is an island on beautiful Lake St. Clair located in the southeastern part of Michigan. It was first founded in 1779 and has been known for its beautiful wildlife.
Residents and visitors take part in boating, fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities.
Known as the "Gold Coast" of Harsens Island, the South Channel of Lake St. Clair is a great place to see freighters from around the world pass by.
Lake St. Clair is a freshwater lake that lies between the Canadian province of Ontario and the United States.
The island is located approximately 1 hour from downtown Detroit.
