We’re getting married! ¡Nos vamos a casar!

We met at work and got close pretty quickly… always joking around, laughing, and spending time together. Looking back, we were definitely catching feelings before either of us admitted it. We were both a little stubborn… and probably a little nervous too. Then Eric went to Mexico to visit family, and that little bit of distance made Lauryn realize how she actually felt. She told him, and to her total joy, he felt the same way! A few weeks later they made it official, and have only grown closer ever since. Since then, we’ve made so many good memories… our yearly fair trips, paddle boating and wandering around Estes Park, stargazing, trying new food spots, game nights, cozy movie nights and so much more! At the center of everything has always been our friendship, lots of laughter, and our shared faith. The proposal was one of the most thoughtful moments of our relationship. Eric planned everything out.. a beautiful mountain view, a huge “Marry Me” sign, a picnic with all Lauryn’s favorite snacks, and a bouquet of flowers. He even worked with her siblings and friends to get every detail just right - from making sure her nails looked pretty, to having someone there to capture it all. It was personal, sweet, and perfect for us! Now we’re engaged and counting down to the big day! We’re so excited to take this next step together, and even more excited to celebrate with all of you!

Nos conocimos en el trabajo y nos hicimos cercanos muy rápido… siempre bromeando, riéndonos y pasando tiempo juntos. Viéndolo ahora, claramente ya nos estábamos gustando antes de que cualquiera de los dos lo admitiera. Los dos éramos un poco tercos… y probablemente un poquito nerviosos también. Luego Eric se fue a México a visitar a su familia, y esa poquita distancia hizo que Lauryn se diera cuenta de lo que realmente sentía. Se lo dijo, y para su sorpresa (y alegría total), él sentía lo mismo. Unas semanas después lo hicieron oficial, y desde entonces solo se han hecho más unidos. Desde entonces hemos creado tantos recuerdos bonitos… nuestras visitas a la feria cada año, los paseos en lancha y las caminatas por Estes Park, ver las estrellas, probar lugares nuevos para comer, noches de juegos, noches de películas súper acogedoras y muchísimo más. En el centro de todo siempre ha estado nuestra amistad, muchas risas y la fe que compartimos. La propuesta fue uno de los momentos más especiales y pensados de nuestra relación. Eric planeó todo… una vista hermosa de la montaña, un letrero gigante de “¿Quieres casarte conmigo?”, un picnic con todos los snacks favoritos de Lauryn y un ramo de flores. Hasta se coordinó con sus hermanos y amigos para que cada detalle quedara perfecto: desde asegurarse de que tuviera las uñas bonitas hasta tener a alguien ahí para capturar el momento. Fue personal, dulce y perfecto para nosotros. Ahora estamos comprometidos y contando los días para el gran día. ¡Estamos tan emocionados de dar este siguiente paso juntos, y aún más de celebrarlo con todos ustedes!
