Well depending on who you ask, will depend on which story you get. Eric will tell you they met through mutual friends, but Katie says the "long version" is on a dating website. The truth is...it was really both. Eric and Katie originally connected on a dating site called "Hinge" in June of 2019. They exchanged pleasantries, but never met up, and for a number of reasons, both ended up deleting the app soon thereafter. As fate would have it, they both re-downloaded the app months later and 'matched' again in December 2019. This time, Katie did some investigating on Eric (aka she creeped on him on Facebook). She noticed they had a mutual friend, Kristen. Katie and Kristen taught together, so she texted her and asked what she knew about Eric. She only had wonderful things to say about him (of course), so with the stamp of approval of a trusted friend, Katie continued talking to him. Eric and Kristen attended the same church (they were in a bible study together). That Sunday at church, Eric started asking about Katie. She only had wonderful things to say about her (also of course). So Kristen, the matchmaker, orchestrated a New Years Eve Party where she invited both Eric and Katie. Well, fast forward two years to the day, and in the same location, Eric was down on one knee, and here we are!
