The resort has plenty to enjoy in the winter, from outdoor ice skating and spa treatments to the Land Rover off-road experience. You can also spend the evening by the fire pit with s’mores or take the shuttle to Stratton for a day on the slopes. For dining, you’ll find several on-site options including Chop House, Marsh Tavern, and Falcon Bar.
Since our wedding falls over Valentine’s Day weekend, we recommend booking dinner reservations early if you’d like a special night out before Welcome Drinks at 7 PM. For those looking to venture off the resort, Manchester offers several great options: The Reluctant Panther – an intimate inn and restaurant with seasonal New England dishes, just a short walk from the resort. The Silver Fork – a cozy fine dining experience with a creative, globally inspired menu, also walkable from the resort. Mystico Cucina Italiana – a romantic Italian favorite in Manchester Town Center (about a 5-minute drive). Ye Olde Tavern – a historic restaurant dating back to 1790, known for classic New England comfort food, also in Town Center (about a 5-minute drive).
Just a few minutes from the resort, Manchester’s town center is perfect for a cozy winter stroll. Guests can explore a variety of outlet shops—from designer brands to local favorites—along with charming boutiques and cafés to warm up with a coffee or hot cocoa between stops.
Manchester is surrounded by plentiful options for winter sports including downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, dog sled / sleigh rides, and snowmobiling. We’re organizing a ski day at Stratton Mountain for guests arriving early on Friday—reach out to us so we can coordinate (and hook you up with a discounted ski pass if you’re not already rocking the Ikon this season) and lets all shred the gnar together!! The resort offers a complimentary shuttle to Stratton (about 25 minutes away). Beyond skiing and riding, Stratton has tubing, ice skating, and a winter village full of shops and dining—so there’s something for everyone. The Nordic Center also has cross-country trails, snowshoeing, and fat biking. Other nearby mountains include Bromley (15 minutes), Magic Mountain (Keith Sweetman’s local favorite, 25 minutes), and our go-to Epic Pass resorts: Okemo (our personal favorite, ~45 minutes north) and Mount Snow (~40 minutes south).
