FAQs

Question

What date and time is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding is on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The ceremony will take place at 3:00 PM at the First Congregational Church, followed by cocktail hour and the reception at the Equinox Resort.

Question

When do I need to submit my RSVP?

Answer

Formal invitations will be sent out at the end of October with a QR code to RSVP. You’ll be asked to indicate which events you plan to attend and select your dinner choice for the reception. Please submit your RSVP by December 12th—though the earlier, the better (and very much appreciated)!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding dress code is black tie optional so dress to impress! For men, this means a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie. For women, a long gown, cocktail dress, or formal separates.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the ceremony?

Answer

No formal transportation is needed—the church is directly across the street from the Equinox Resort, where most guests will be staying. Just be sure to bring a warm coat and sturdy shoes for the quick winter walk outside.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We adore your little ones, and they are welcome to join us for the ceremony. For the reception, however, we kindly ask that it be an adults-only celebration. If you’d like help arranging a babysitter for the evening, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Kat directly.

Question

Is there a room block code guests can use for discounted room rates?

Answer

Yes! We’ve reserved a room block at the Equinox Resort with a significant discount for Valentine’s Day/Presidents’ Day weekend. We were only able to secure 45 rooms, so please book early to lock in the rate—once the block is full, rooms will revert to the much higher holiday pricing. To book, use our wedding block link listed in the “Travel” section under Equinox Golf Resort & Spa. If you prefer to call the hotel directly, mention the Payne-Sweetman Room Block to receive the discounted rate.

Question

Where is the Meadow House?

Answer

The Meadow House is located at 3740 Main St, just a short walk from the Equinox Resort. From the front lobby, head left, cross the street, and walk past the church. After passing the 1811 House, turn right and you’ll find the Meadow House at the end of the driveway. (You can also cut through the church parking lot—just be sure not to wander across the pond!) Parking is available on-site, and shuttles can be arranged if needed. That said, it’s an easy walk for most guests—just remember to bundle up!

Question

Is there a Welcome Event?

Answer

Yes! As a SWEET start to the weekend, we’ll be hosting a Valentine’s Day Welcome Party on Saturday night from 7–9 PM. This event will also be held at the Equinox Resort, in the Rockwell Ballroom. Expect an open bar, plenty of hors d’oeuvres, and lots of love to kick off the celebrations! ❤️

Question

What should I wear to the Welcome Drinks Party?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. For men, think a dress shirt, suit, or sport coat with pants—whatever you’re most comfortable in and want to celebrate your Valentine’s Day in. For women, a cocktail dress, jumpsuit, or dressy separates are perfect. And since it’s Valentine’s Day, feel free to lean into the theme—pinks, reds, and festive touches are highly encouraged!

Question

Should I make a dinner reservation for Saturday night?

Answer

Yes! As another reminder, Saturday night falls on Valentine’s Day, so we encourage you to enjoy the evening with your partner or friends however you’d like. While there will be plenty of hors d’oeuvres at the Welcome Drinks party, we highly recommend booking your dinner reservations at least a month in advance—Valentine’s weekend fills up quickly! If you’d like a special night out before Welcome Drinks kick off at 7 PM, aim for an early reservation (before 5:30 PM). The Equinox offers great on-site options like The Chop House and Marsh Tavern, while nearby favorites include The Reluctant Panther, The Silver Fork, Mystico Cucina Italiana, and Ye Olde Tavern. For more details, check out our “Things To Do” Valentine’s Day Reservation Recommendations section.

Question

Who can I reach out to with questions before the wedding weekend?

Answer

Preferably, reach out to me (Kat) with any questions. You can always ask Eric, but chances are he’ll just say, “I’m not sure, better check with Kat,” so feel free to go straight to the source :)
