We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We first met in the Cancer Biology PhD program at the University of Chicago in a small class of 10 people. After two weeks in the program, we were walking home from class together and realized we lived in the same building! We became friends by proximity, and over time realized we had much in common. In the spring, we decided to see a Peter Bradley Adams concert together at Schuba's Tavern -- and the rest is history. We consider the concert our "first date"

We were going out to dinner downtown with some family friend's of Jill's. Eric had been holding onto the ring for several months waiting for the right opportunity, and a dinner downtown by the river seemed like the perfect night. After dinner, we went for a walk along the river and stumbled on "Art on the Mart", a summer art installation of images timed to music projected on the Merchandise Market Building. Eric asked someone to take our picture, then got down on one knee! As you can see in the picture, Jill had no idea it was coming!
