The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Spend the afternoon exploring the Nelson-Atkins, one of America’s finest art museums. With 40,000 works of art, the Nelson's collections range from impressionist to Asian art, American paintings, American Indian and Egyptian galleries, and a sculpture park!

Power and Light District

Home to bars, restaurants and shops! The Kansas City Power & Light District is an eight-block entertainment hub unlike any other in town. There aren't any events during the wedding weekend but the district’s covered outdoor courtyard hosts more than 150 free events each year. Fans gather here to cheer on their favorite sporting teams from the Kansas City Chiefs and Sporting Kansas City to the USA national sports teams. Across the street you’ll find one of the country’s busiest arenas, the T-Mobile Center, home to the Big12 Championship.

Country Club Plaza

Modeled after Seville, Spain (Kansas City's Sister City), the Plaza is a great place to go shopping, grab a bite to eat, or just appreciate the beautiful architecture!

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

Formerly known as Oklahoma Joe's. It's a gas station turned into one of KC's most famous award-winning barbecue restaurant. Be sure to get Eric's favorite Z-Man Sandwich!

National WWI Museum and Memorial

Liberty Memorial is America's official museum dedicated to remembering, interpreting and understanding the Great War and its enduring impact. In addition to a great cultural and historical experience, Liberty Memorial offers stunning views of Kansas City!

Boulevard Brewing Company

Boulevard has a wonderful (and inexpensive!) tour of its facilities so you can see how its delicious beer is made. You can also just stop by for a beer or a game of shuffleboard in the Beer Hall or Rec Deck at Eric and Ekta's favorite brewery.

John's Big Deck

Visit the bar where Eric and Ekta first met and enjoy some pub food and views of downtown from their rooftop bar.
