Snowbird's Aerial Tram whisks passengers along a 1.6 mile cable and up 2,900 vertical feet during the 10-minute trip to the top of Hidden Peak. The round-trip can be done in 40 minutes, including about 20 minutes of sightseeing on Hidden Peak, but guests may spend as long as they wish. Escape the heat and enjoy 360 degrees of breathtaking views. Tickets are available on Snowbird's summer activities website. Snowbird is also home to many other summer activities, including an alpine slide, mountain coaster, ropes course, and climbing wall. Snowbird's resort base is a 4-minute drive from the Alta Lodge.

The Crater is a geothermal spring, hidden beneath a 55-foot tall, beehive-shaped limestone rock located on the Homestead property. The hole at the top of the dome lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water at a constant range of 90-96 degrees Fahrenheit. Tickets are available on their website for $15-18/pp for a 40-minute swim session. The driving time from the Alta Lodge to the crater is about an 1 hr 15 min.
