Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!

Valley Forge National Historical Park

1400 North Outer Line Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406
, (610) 783-1077

Valley Forge National Park is one of our favorite places in the area! It is a huge park with so much nature and history to explore. We love meeting our friends and bringing the dogs here for hikes. We've enjoyed many picnic lunches here, including one with an impromptu swim for Eric after Comet fell in the creek! Though technically closed after dark, we've also been known to sneak over with Eric's telescope for some star-gazing! There is a ton of interesting history to learn about - visit the link below for details on the self-guided driving tour and cellphone/walking audio tour!

Teresa's Next Door Bar

126 North Wayne Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 293-9909

Teresa's is by far our favorite restaurant in the area, and it's really two restaurants in one! Teresa's Cafe does a modern take on Italian food (we love the burrata bomb and homemade gnocchi!). Teresa's Next Door Bar has the most delicious Belgian food (we love the "far-east" mussels, fricadelles, and always fun to try the featured game-burger)! Currently, reservations are recommended as capacity is limited due to the pandemic. Teresa's is located right in the heart of downtown Wayne, which is a great place to hang out! There are a number of bars, restaurants, and shops to browse, and 118 North has live music most nights!

King of Prussia Mall

160 North Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406
, (610) 265-5727

No visit to King of Prussia is complete without a stop by the famous mall! Pretty much any store you could ever imagine wanting or needing is located inside or surrounding this mall. Christine typically bribes Eric to go shopping here with the promise of Pizzeria Vetri or Shake Shack...sometimes both, LOL!

Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens

631 Berwyn Baptist Road, Devon, PA 19333
, (610) 647-8870

The Jenkins Arboretum is a great place to visit in any season - but we especially love the Spring and Fall here. It's free to enter and explore the grounds, there are some nice quiet areas to sit and take in the scenery. Very quiet and serene - there's also a gift shop and educational area for kids!

Workhorse Brewing Company

250 King Manor Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406
, (484) 681-9928

Workhorse quickly became one of our favorite spots to meet friends for drinks when they opened. We were inaugural members of their Mug Club (look for our names on the wall -- this was the first time "Christine Redfern" was officially written!). They allow BYO-food, but also feature a rotation of food trucks and other pop-up food stands. They have a selection of board games, but we sometimes bring our own (Catan, anyone??). And of course, the beer is great!! They have a small selection of wine and cocktails, too.

McKaig Nature Education Center

889 Croton Road, Wayne, PA 19087
, (484) 580-9474

If you haven't figured it out by now, we really love nature! McKaig is a bit of a hidden gem in the Wayne area being tucked away behind a local school. There are a few different trail loops for hiking, and it's definitely smaller and more manageable than Valley Forge National Park. Eric also loves hunting for rocks and examining the outcrops here!

King of Prussia Town Center

155 Village Drive, King of Prussia, PA 19406
, (484) 231-1762

The King of Prussia Town Center is another cool spot to shop around, eat and drink! Christine's go-to spots are Wegmans, Nordstrom Rack, and Ulta. Eric's go-to spots are REI and LA Fitness. We both love the City Works Brew Pub, Founding Farmers, Mission BBQ, and Honeygrow!

Terrain Devon Yard

138 West Lancaster Avenue, Devon, PA 19333
, (610) 590-4671

Terrain is a beautiful brunch and dinner spot, a cafe inside a greenhouse! We love the home & garden shop located next door, too. Also located within the Devon Yard is Amis Trattoria (italian) and Anthropologie. Overall, it's a unique and gorgeous spot to check out! Reservations recommended if you are going for the greenhouse brunch!

White Dog Cafe Wayne

200 West Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 225-3700

White Dog Cafe is another one of our favorite brunch spots! They also do dinner and the food is always delicious. Our favorite part is the dog-theme decor, which is quirky yet sophisticated - a really cool spot! They have a large patio for outdoor dining, reservations recommended.

Handel's Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt

576 E Lancaster Avenue, Berwyn, PA 19312
, (610) 640-1606

Handel's is our favorite spot for ice cream! It's a classic walk-up storefront - there's always a bit of a line, but it moves fast (even in the winter - it's THAT good!).

Autograph Brasserie

503 West Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 964-2588

Another really delicious brunch & dinner spot! Autograph is uniquely decorated with gorgeous brass instruments and - you guessed it - famous autographs! It's a fun place to stop by even just for a drink at the bar.

Eagle Village Shops

503 Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087
, (610) 293-2012

The Eagle Village Shops (surrounding Autograph Brasserie) are fun to walk around and browse too! Some really unique and elegant shops - check out the link below to learn more.
