Question

What about social distancing?!

Answer

Of course your health and safety is important to us - the Roxborough Dog Park is a large, private fenced in area and there is ample room to keep your distance from other guests. Feel free to look on Google maps to get a feel for the area. The park is 21,000 square feet, and they recently added a separate enclosure for "small dogs" which we will also be utilizing. There will be no sit-down ceremony, so feel free to enjoy from anywhere in the park. This goes for the food service as well.

Question

Are guests required to wear masks?

Answer

No, you are not required to wear a mask, BUT it is strongly encouraged. However, they are REQUIRED for bar service. We will have masks available for those that want one! We will also have gloves and multiple hand sanitizer stations set-up throughout the park. We also ask that you respect each other's personal space and practice social distancing.

Question

How will food and drinks be served?

Answer

All food and drinks will be served individually. There is no buffet style, so no worries about close contamination. There is no sit-down food service - you will be able to grab your food whenever you want. There will be tables and chairs inside the tent, as well as other seating available throughout the park. There will be a mobile bar right inside the park - open bar! Drinks will be served in plastic recyclable drinkware. A food truck will be parked right outside the park on the street. Food will be served in individual single-serve containers. Of course you can still choose what you want to eat, and come back for seconds (or thirds, or more).

Question

Are dogs allowed?

Answer

YES!!! You will just need to sign a waiver. Vaccines records are not needed.

Question

Parking

Answer

Public street parking. FYI - If you've never been to this area it can be challenging trying to find a parking spot, so you may need to drive around the block a few times (or more). And if you have access to a smaller vehicle which will make it easier to fit into a spot. Carpooling or Uber/Lyft is recommended if possible.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We want everyone to be comfortable, it could - or most likely, will be hot. Think outdoor BBQ! Feel free to dress up as fancy as you'd like and remember to bring a change of clothes. A space to change will be provided. And don't forget about your feet - we recommend wearing or changing into comfortable shoes!!

Question

Can I bring a 'plus one'?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you. But please don't hesitate to ask! Depending on how many RSVPs we get we may open up invites.

Question

Is there a restroom on site?

Answer

Yes! There will be a private luxury restroom trailer with AC, located right inside the dog park (this is not a porta potty!). Feel free to bring a change of clothes too!

Question

Will there be shade?

Answer

YES! There will be a large enclosed tent for guests, along with some tables and chairs to sit and relax out of the sun. We want to make sure everyone, including our four-legged friends, have an area to cool off out of the heat and sun. There is also some large trees in the park that provide natural shade.

Question

Can I eat and drink in the park?

Answer

Yes, you can eat and drink inside the park. Regarding the food, we suggest maybe eating inside the tent, partially away from the hungry critters. But feel free to eat wherever you are comfortable. We just ask that you throw away your trash and food scraps (bones, corn on the cob, etc) in the trash containers ASAP. Our four-legged friends are very quick and we would prefer not to chase any dogs, screaming "Drop it! Drop it!" My fellow veterinary professionals can attest to the severe dangers this can cause. PLEASE be conscious of your plate/food!

Question

What is there to do?

Answer

There will be lawn games like corn-hole, horse shoes, ping pong, giant Jenga and much more! Feel free to bring your favorite outdoor lawn game. There will also be a photo booth with fun props! And what's a party without music and dancing....there will be a live band/DJ and a dance floor inside the tent, but you can 'bust a move' wherever you want. We will have a few other fun activities and games planned for the day, but we want to keep them a surprise.
