No one was! We opted for a private elopement to make our special day more intimate. The Justice of the Peace, photographer and violinist will be the only additional persons present. Don't worry, photos and videos will be shared via our socials after the fact!
We have opted to spend our first week as newly weds on a mini-moon with our furchildren, Bentley and Basil. We will be able to answer any questions as they pop up closer to the reception date, but will not be physically available for visiting. We understand that getting married is very exciting for the friends and family included, please know that we will share any photo and video footage with you all as we receive it back from our photographer.
There is free onsite parking available for guests at the back of the Tangled Garden property. This parking lot is out of the way of the busy main street and provides easy access to the event tent that will be home to all of our snacks and drinks. *Washrooms are located just above the parking lot and event tent.
This is not a formal event and we want our guests to be as comfortable as possible, but please be mindful a photographer will be present onsite for the entirety of this party. We would recommend dressing in summer causal, with garden appropriate foot wear. Access to the gardens and event tent itself does require walking over bumpy uneven ground, high heels are not recommended.
Your presence at our wedding is kind enough, but, should you wish to give a physical gift as well, a cash gift to put towards our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. We are asking guests to keep gifts to a minimum as we are already fully settled in our home.
Yes! Although your invite states the time 1-4, this is a public space and all guests are welcome to come and go as they please. Food and drink will be set up and ready for indulging between the times of 1-4, but guests are welcome to stay well after 4PM hits. *Cake cutting is scheduled for 3PM.
We are aiming to keep our guest count under 50 to ensure we are able to spend time with everyone in attendance, so we kindly ask guests to keep their plus ones to a minimum. A good rule of thumb, if the bride and groom have not yet met this person, it would be best for them to stay at home for the event. Please message us for clarification.
Although the Tangled Garden is small dog friendly, we will be leaving our dogs at home and are asking all guests to do the same. Children are allowed onsite, but please be mindful that this is a public garden and business will be going on as usual at the front of the property. Although the event space is considered private, you may encounter members of the public while wandering though the gardens. Please note: the ground is uneven, there are multiple unsupervised bodies of water and a labyrinth that may be easy to get lost in on site.
