How We Met

First comes Tinder, then comes Marriage.

They both swiped right, and the rest was history! (If you want to get technical, Erica's college roommate, Angelique, swiped right for Erica while browsing for her, because Matt looked "tall, hot, and lived nearby"!) The two met up for Mexican food after work, and to Erica's surprise, Matt swooped in for a big kiss at the end of the date. In Matt's words, he "had to let her know that he liked her"! Must have worked, because the two have been together ever since.

Our Love Story

East Coast to Southwest

Matt and Erica dated for a couple of years, enjoying their mutual interests of craft beer, traveling and watching movies together. After two years, the two decided to move in together in Easton, PA. Their relationship grew as they celebrated new careers and milestones, and helped each other through hard times of loss. Together, Matt and Erica made the decision to move to Scottsdale, Arizona in 2018 and see what desert life had to offer. The two are happy to say they now own their very first home (and dog, Hazel) together in Phoenix and are loving life!

The Proposal

"So...we're all alone..."

Matt knew that the time had come - the lone soldier in his group of friends without a wife. Erica was exactly who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and it was time to make it official! He took her away on a quick trip to Monterey, California to spend time biking the 17 Mile Drive and trying new breweries and restaurants. On their last day in town, the skies cleared, the rain stopped, and Matt took his opportunity on the pier to ask for Erica's hand in marriage. Of course, he was nervous and a bit tongue tied, so he started out by awkwardly looking around and telling Erica, "So...we're all alone..." Erica may have thought that he was about to "accidentally" push her off the pier, but instead Matt pulled out a shiny ring and dropped down on one knee. She may have blacked out in surprise and happiness, but eventually told him "YES!"
