If you have a vehicle and a day to do something really fun unique to Brunswick county! Check out the ferry schedule and take the 25 min drive to Fort Fisher historic site and bunkers, Kure beach, and then catch the ferry ($7) to Southport for adorable shops and restaurants right on the water! You won’t regret it.
Hit the beach and enjoy some people watching from any of the restaurants along the boardwalk, on the ferris wheel overlooking the ocean, or a souvenir shop! Check out Briggs donuts or enjoy some great ice cream.
