Erica decided to try her hand (one last time) at the dating apps during June of 2020. While on a meeting with her boss, she was discussing the beautiful birds outside her window. She was later informed that they were western tanagers on their migration path (this matters, we promise). Later that day while scrolling through Hinge, Erica found Lance's profile, and, what would you know? He was a birder! She dropped her new knowledge and it was a MATCH. Their first date was a socially distanced hike in Hulls Gulch. Erica wowed Lance with her fun facts around wild flowers and eggs not being dairy. Lance wowed Erica with the amount of sunscreen he applied and his ruggedly handsome good looks (Lance found our website password). As the hike came to a close and they were walking towards their cars, Erica awkwardly asked (as she walked away) if he wanted to grab a beer the following weekend. To her surprise, he did. That second date ended up being 8 hours of patio conversation that felt more like 2. They continued to spend time outside together going for hikes at Bogus, playing tennis (while Erica's friends spied from the park), battling it out at croquet, bbqing, and the list goes on. We are so happy to have found each other. and can't wait to celebrate the next phase of our relationship with you!
We made the decision to share our vows in a private ceremony in Sun Valley this summer. Having an intimate vow exchange felt more "us," and will allow us to truly be present and spend more time with friends and family at our reception! We look forward to sharing photos and celebrating together this fall!
