Lady of Honor
Ashley is blessed with not just the title of Lady of Honor, check her out, but Erica's sister. The sisters were raised in a flurry of silly voices, endless bits, and deep love, making them nearly inseparable to this day. The Harte sisters now find themselves reunited in a new city, with a third wheel they can’t remember how they functioned without. Ashley befriended Dan the same summer as Erica, teaching at SOCAPA, and have carried that friendship into their familial bond. Dan and Ashley delight in driving Erica crazy with endless clowning, and are as eager to be brother and sister as Erica and Dan are to be man and wife. Ashley is thrilled to have watched this relationship blossom and to stand with Erica and Dan on their wedding day, and welcome Dan into the Harte clan at last.
Dude of Honor
Adam has known Dan since the day he was born. As an older brother, Adam grew up with a number of responsibilities including: yelling at Dan, practicing wrestling moves on him, and setting the best examples possible of what to do/not do as they grew up. By their college years, Adam and Dan became more than just brothers… they became “bros”. Often being referred to as “the cutest brothers ever”, they spent every holiday and summer vacation watching movies, playing video games, and enjoying many drunken sing-alongs. Though their lives have brought them to different cities, they still speak often and, when together, pick up as if no time has passed at all. Adam was proud to have Dan by his side when he married Taryn, and is just as proud to stand at his side when Erica joins the family.
Groomswoman, Sister in Law, PARTNER IN CRIME
Dan and Taryn started causing trouble together early in their friendship, quickly dubbing themselves “Partners in Crime.” They’ve enjoyed many fun nights of tomfoolery (typically resulting in Adam wrangling them in the wee hours of the morning) and always think of the world’s most meaningful questions (Should I shave my head?). Taryn is always thankful for the outside perspective Dan is able to bring her and the self-reflection he encourages. He welcomed her as part of the family without question, and continues to make sure she is included and protected. Dan is the brother that Taryn never had, and she’s honored to stand by his side at the next step of his beautiful journey.

Way back in 2002, Devin met Erica in their very first weeks of High School. Devin will never forget meeting the beautiful girl with long hair and her magic voice. Throughout high school - which included countless sleepovers, car rides, clothing swaps, caramel soft serves, and sing-a-longs - they had formed what they knew was a lifelong friendship. Even after they parted ways for college, whenever they reconnected they would stay up into the wee hours of the morning as if it were still 2002. During one of these more recent late night catch-up sessions, Devin recalls hearing about 'Dan', (and knowing Erica was going to marry him even if she didn't know it yet). Miss Erica Harte, I love you with all my heart. Thank God you are marrying a Jewish clown. I know you are in good hands forever.

Erica became Robyn’s dearest dear in the quiet moments between their adventures in acting school and filmmaking. Erica soon became a safe haven and sounding board, a companion in adventure, and most trusted confidant. After several projects, cross-country moves, and her helping to bring her godson into the world, Robyn’s most favorite things about Erica are still that she eats limes whole without peeling them and that she will fix and undo her hair several times over the course of a conversation. Robyn feels honored to have such an intelligent and thoroughly beautiful human in her life and is so very pleased Erica has found joy and balance with Dan. The world needs beauty and goodness right now, and there's so much of it between the two of them.

Savannah met Erica in Dallas in 2012 during a run of OKLAHOMA. This Laurey and Ado were the silliest in all the land, and fell into a fast friendship that Savannah treasures dearly! It was no surprise meeting Dan that he and Erica were a perfect match. Their compassion and humor, passion for community and social justice, and overall bright spirits bless all who witness them. It is with joy and gratitude that Savannah celebrates with them on this special day in their lives.

Kate and Erica met briefly at SUNY Fredonia but really became friends when Erica moved to NYC. Their connection was immediate and very strong, like meeting a long lost relative. They became roommates in Bushwick where they celebrated the ups and endured the downs of city living together. Erica was a sister to Kate in their home away from home. Though they may not share the same address any more they’ve stayed close through everything life has to offer; career changes, address changes, love and loss. Erica is always one of the first calls or texts when something exciting happens or when Kate just misses her friend. Their lifelong friendship will always be one of the most cherished relationships in Kate’s life – until they’re little old ladies yelling and laughing across a porch together.

The memory of Dan coming to mind is when, at the end of an afternoon in VR World, Dan had to leave while I was playing an earnest game where you tell truths to a series of glowing orbs before releasing them into a starry VR sky. Dan, not wanting to disrupt the experience but really having to go, ever so gently told me that he was leaving. I came out to find him torn between his next obligation and wanting to debrief a fulfilling experience that he looked in pain. The good news: Dan made it to his next meeting on time! The better news: We have never had trouble finding time for a deep debrief. The best news: Dan is the man he is - who cares so deeply for his friends that it’s written all over him when he would put aside his own commitments to connect in a small meaningful moment with them.

Christopher first met Daniel at their study abroad program at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia. It was only upon meeting for the program that the two had discovered they'd grown up an eight minute drive from each other their whole lives without knowing. The pair made up for lost time and became roommates during their studies in Russia. They have built a mutual artistic rapport and close friendship over the years. From sharing in artistic collaboration on devised theatre work to reviewing each other's artistic scripts, videos, and concepts, the pair has shared many a less than sober occasion with joy and many moments of sincere life talks and shared advice. The pair have remained close friends for nearly ten years, despite the permanent physical distance separating their life paths.

Max met Dan in high school and they grew up together, learning about life and getting up to no good. Dan and Max have sundered many sacred fires, played music in many basements, and shared many stages. In one of their earliest times they wrote a rock opera for sophomore English class. It was a Ben Folds-esque pop-ballade rock tragedy about 19th century painter JMW Turner. Their English teacher Mrs. B. gave them a three month extension to complete it. When they finally presented their masterpiece, she seemed so proud and also so confused. For one reason or the other she gave them an A+ for their efforts. From that moment their stories span for over a decade and have gotten progressively more interesting and less safe for work. Max is honored to be a part of Dan and Erica's special day!
