Maid of Honor
Alyssa is Erica’s only sister. Even though they are 13 years apart, they are still best friends. From Disney movies and board games to Taylor Swift concerts and musicals, they have a ton of things in common and always have a great time together. Erica is so lucky to have a compassionate and funny sister next to her on her wedding day.
Best Man
Ron and Charlie met in 2006 through the Army National Guard. They became friends after training Brazilian jiu-jitsu together. In those days, they could often be found in Lubbock's historic depot district enjoying the local culture. As the only official members of each other's "brain trust," they have discussed nearly every important of aspect of life at some point. One day, when it was Charlie's turn to use the brain, Charlie encouraged Ron to go to law school, officially ruining his life forever. Charlie welcomed Ron to the profession by "hooding" Ron at his law school graduation.
Bridesmaid
Leatrice and Erica were childhood neighbors way back in 1995. They met when Leatrice was 4 and Erica was 5 by talking to each other through the fence between their houses. Erica “ran away” to Leatrice’s house more than once. Many years and now 2000 miles apart, they can still laugh together. Leatrice is one of the most loyal friends ever and this is definitely a friendship this has passed the test of time.
Groomsman
Charlie and Jose met in Lubbock through a mutual friend (Hi, Bonnie!) in 2012. They spent a lot of time with a close group of friends, playing poker, at the pool, and hanging out at The Lantern. After Jose moved away from Lubbock for work, Charlie "unintentionally" followed him by moving first to Dallas and then Houston. Because of Jose's creepy reverse stalking, Charlie has given up on ever escaping from Jose's evil clutches, and has decided instead to be best friends. Jose is probably the only person Charlie and Erica are friends with who knows more Simpsons quotes than Charlie--a fact the delights and enchants Erica to no end when the two of them get together. Jose is the only person Charlie has ever jumped out of an airplane with.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and Erica have been friends since 6th grade. Since Erica didn’t know anyone in her 6th grade class, she ate lunch alone for the first few days of school. Until Kelly befriended her. Kelly is such a kind and thoughtful person. They quickly became good friends and frequently got Erica in trouble for going over her 300 minute cell phone plan. Meeting her is one of the best things that ever happened not only because Kelly is amazing, but it also led to Erica making more friends!
Groomsman
Sergio and Charlie met through Brazilian jiu-jitsu and have been training together for nearly four years. They meet two to three times a week to roll around and wrestle in each other's garages, which is totally normal and not weird at all. Sergio, the gentle giant, could crush the soul out of Charlie at any time by using his dangerous and deadly "Neon Belly" technique, but he doesn't do it because he is a bro. One day, Charlie and Sergio hope to open a jiu-jitsu academy to share their knowledge and spread the art.
Bridesmaid
Tori is another friend Erica met in 6th grade through Sammy. However, Tori would tell you Erica seemed .....a little too weird at first. But as luck would have it, they ended up being in the same reading class in 7th grade. And then they both needed a partner for their project on The Princess Bride because neither of them knew anyone else in the class. The rest is history because they became bffs after that. Tori is the most beautiful person inside and outside. From seeing The Secret Handshake at The Meridian in 2007 to seeing MCR at Toyota Center in 2020, these two are friends for life. Tori just had to embrace the weirdness!
Groomsman
Will and Charlie were roommates in law school and for a short time after that during their public-defender days in Texarkana, Texas. When not drinking cheap beer or discussing the finer points of criminal law, Will and Charlie would spend time playing NCAA football on the Xbox 360, even though Will was really, really, really bad at it and would cheat constantly by adjusting the speed settings to "make the game more realistic." Will and Charlie maintained their friendship, and after wandering in the wilderness for several years, Will and Charlie are now coworkers again.
Bridesmaid
Erica met Sammy in 6th grade through her friendship with Kelly. Erica always admired her bold nature, intelligence and confidence. Slumber parties and DDR turned into drinking wine and watching Drag Race as they continued their friendship into adulthood. Erica and Sammy can talk for hours and she is definitely someone Erica can always go to for advice or to lend an understanding ear. She is an incredibly supportive friend and is one of those people you definitely want on your side. So fortunately she will be on Erica’s side on her wedding day and a friend for life.
