The story of how we met is complicated one (Steven remembers meeting Erica-Anne at a formal dance at Holy Ghost Prep while Erica-Anne remembers being introduced to Steven after one of his Holy Ghost ice hockey games). We can, however, both remember meeting during the Holy Ghost spring musical in 2010. Erica-Anne was a freshman Musical Theatre major at the University of the Arts and was back at Ghost to help with the musicals she'd been a part of for her entire high school career and Steven was a senior doing his first high school musical. After a few months and hundreds of text messages and phone calls, Steven and Erica-Anne began officially dating in August of 2010. Suffice it to say, they have been inseparable ever since.

In the late summer of 2016, Steven and Erica-Anne were vacationing at the Jersey Shore. One fine day, Steven came into their room and woke Erica-Anne with a tray laden with flowers and one of her favorite breakfast food, her Grandmom's "surprise eggs". As he placed the tray before her, he said, "This is so you can have a bit of Grandmom with you today. After you're finished, get dressed. I'm going to take you somewhere special." After quickly dressing and doing her hair, Steven and Erica-Anne hopped into the car and began their short drive. Their first stop was the Lobster House in Cape May. Once they parked, Steven turned to Erica-Anne and said, "This is so you can have all your favorite foods." They alighted from the car and walked hand-in-hand into the restaurant to enjoy a meal of champagne, fresh oysters, escargot, and even a 4 lbs. lobster! When they finished, they went back to the car and headed to their next destination. The pair arrived at Washington Park Mall and Steven went to pick up a pair of tickets from the Information Booth. He then lead her to a waiting Trolley and said, "This is so you can look at beautiful things from your favorite period in history." For those who do not know, Cape May is one of the most intact and beautifully maintained Victorian Seaside resorts. When the trolley ride through the town ended, Erica-Anne and Steven found themselves at the beautiful Emlen Physick Estate. They disembarked from the trolley and headed towards the house for their tour. Erica-Anne took many pictures of the meticulously maintained house. It was lovely to step back in time and see all the beautiful antiques. When the tour was finished, Erica-Anne and Steven took a stroll through the grounds of the estate. It was on that stroll that Steven dropped to one knee and asked Erica-Anne if she would like to spend the rest of their lives together. She said a tearful "Yes!" and, just like that, Erica-Anne and Steven went from dating to happily affianced couple!
