Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Tess Kowalski and Eric Andrews
Here is a list of our favorite restaurants in Ashland, and at the bottom is a number of our favorite outdoor spots outside of town for those looking to adventure while they're here. As far as the food scene goes, there are way too many good places to list, so enjoy this list of a few (more than a few) of our favorite spots, and don't be scared to try something else; finding a bad dish in Ashland is very difficult to do.

Creekside Pizza Bistro

92 1/2 North Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

If you want great pizza downtown, look no further. This staple of Ashland will please even the biggest Pizza snobs. Also great GF crust available. Pool table, full bar, and right on the creek.

Ruby's

163 North Pioneer Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Ruby's & Gil's are a local hotspot in town. Order from either place and sit on either side. Awesome laid back breakfast and lunch spot. Ruby's for more healthy options and more breakfast friendly with cocktails. Great GF & V options. Gil's is more for that lunch and beer vibe.

Skout Taphouse & Provisions

21 Winburn Way, Ashland, OR 97520

Maybe my favorite place to go have lunch and a beer (or 3). Right next to Lithia Park, and an excellent kitchen with "fancy bar food." Make sure to check the fridge for those specialty beers.

Sammich Ashland

424 Bridge Street, Ashland, OR 97520

The absolute best sandwich shop around. Chicago style, house made roast beef and pastrami. Unbelievable lunch selection.

Taqueria Picaro

76 North Pioneer Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Homemade tortillas, homemade margarita mix, homemade salsa, and the best warm chips around. I could name too many things I love here, but I will just say the chips and dips is legendary, and the street tacos are insane.

Flip

92 North Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Want a quick burger? Awesome local ingredients and delicious options make this place a must for a burger and fries. Everything made in house is GF

Morning Glory Cafe

1149 Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland, OR 97520

Best breakfast in town, no questions asked. Expect a small wait. WORTH IT!

Umami Sushi & Asian Cuisine

62 East Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Definitely our favorite Sushi place in town, and maybe the best ramen as well!

Osteria La Briccola

18 Calle Guanajuato, Ashland, OR 97520

This Northern Italian eatery is unreal. Emphasis on Northern. The build your own pasta menu will leave you needing more. All pasta made in house.

Pie + Vine

358 East Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

We love eating here. House made pasta, house grown wine, and one of the best chicken parms you'll ever have.

Masala Bistro & Bar

258 A Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Modern Indian food with an awesome bar. Quite possibly the most underrated place to eat in town.

Thai Pepper

84 North Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Get. The. Drunken. Noodles!!! Period. One of the best dishes in town.

Billy's Fried Chicken Ashland

82 North Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

The buttermilk fried chicken here is incredible, and GF!!!

The Great American Pizza Company

1448 Ashland Street, Ashland, OR 97520

This place is famous for their sourdough pizza crust. Truly to die for.

Oberon's Restaurant & Bar

45 North Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

Just want a nice cocktail? Oberon's is by far our favorite bar in town. Known as the "most ashlandiest place in ashland" this is a true local hangout downtown, and a truly top tier whiskey selection. The food is good too!

Trapdoor Bar & Grill

130 Will Dodge Way, Ashland, OR 97520

If you're out late, this is a super cool underground bar open until 2am, with pool and skiball and arcade games.

Brickroom

35 North Main Street, Ashland, OR 97520

A classic American eatery with a great bar downtown in the plaza. Very Ashland.

Emigrant Lake

OR 97520

A beautiful small lake just outside of Ashland. Only 7 miles from downtown.

Mount Ashland

OR 97520

Tons of sightseeing on the top of the world. Views of 2 volcanoes, Mt Shasta & Mt Mclaughlin. Walk around the ski lodge or offroad up to the summit! Just 10 miles past Callahan's Lodge.

McKee Bridge

McKee Bridge, OR 97530

Our favorite swimming hole in Southern Oregon, and the oldest covered bridge in the state. 45 minutes from Ashland.

Applegate River Lodge & Restaurant

15100 Oregon 238, Applegate, OR 97530

Beautiful historic lodge and restaurant right on the Applegate river. 45 minutes from downtown Ashland.

Crowfoot Falls

Crowfoot Road, Trail, OR 97541

An awesome waterfall with plenty of room to swim! 55 minutes from Ashland.

Store Gulch Campground

Selma, OR 97538

The Illinois River is by far the most beautiful clear water area in Southern Oregon. If you're willing to make the 1.5 hour drive from Ashland you WILL be rewarded with wild and scenic sights, and quite possibly the nicest water you'll ever swim in. There are many places on the Illinois river to enjoy, but the store gulch stop will lead you to our favorite spot after a 5 minute hike. Can't recommend this spot enough for you outdoor enthusiasts.
