Hop + Grind
If you're staying in the Durham area head over to Hop + Grind for the best burgers and fries you can find on a college campus! With the same owner as the famous Tuckaway Tavern, we know you won't be disappointed. Couple's recommendations: The basic b with cherry bomb fries, or the hot chick burger with truffle shuffles fries.
Kaffee Vonsolln
If you're looking for amazing coffee and pastries on your way to or from our event Kaffee Vonsolln is worth the trip. When living in Portsmouth you would find us walking from our apartment to this coffee shop at least 3 times a week. Couple's recommendations: Toffee Lover Latte, Iced Hazlenut Coffee, Bacon Egg and Cheese on an Asiago bagel, and a Cheese Danish.
Prescott Park
The gardens of Prescott Park will be in full bloom! If you find yourself in Portsmouth we highly recommend spending time wandering through them. Couple's recommendation: After you stop to smell the roses, take a seat on our bench facing the shipyard. It has the worst view, but makes for the best conversations.
Cure
If you're looking for something a little more fancy for dinner check out Cure. This is the restaurant we went to the night we got engaged! Couple's recommendations: Pan Roasted Duck Breast, Mushroom Forrester, Pinot Grigio, and a Grapefruit Mule.
