Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We are working with First Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church on a dedicated parking area for our ceremony. In the meantime, the city of Chicago offers paid street parking for a small fee as an option around the church. Free street parking is available at our venue, Lacuna Lofts.

What is the best way to travel in Chicago if I don’t plan to drive?

Answer

Chicago is known for its great transit setup. Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is the city’s train and bus service. Their website provides a detailed map on all of its pick up and drop of locations. For the quickest and most simplified way to get around Chicago, many use Uber or Lyft services. We recommend using Uber or Lyft to and from our ceremony and reception events if you are not planning on driving.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are kindly requesting formal or semi-formal attire. Plan to bring a coat or jacket with you. It’s not always easy to know what the Midwest weather will be like!

Can I take pictures during the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We are asking for an unplugged wedding ceremony and to keep phones and other devices set aside and on silent during this time. We will have a personal wedding photographer and will share these photos with you after we have received them! However, please feel free to use your phones and take as many pictures as you’d like during our reception at Lacuna Lofts!

Due to the venue’s capacity, we ask that only those addressed on the invitation be in attendance. We appreciate your understanding.
