BOOM!

We met 9 years ago by chance at a graduation party. Neither of us expected we would meet our future spouse that night. In fact, Eoin had been set up to meet someone else that evening, but she never showed. (HA!) It was clear right away. We had a connection. Matching senses of humor, outgoing personalities, and raw, undeniable talent on the dance floor. It was a kind of meeting that only happens once in a lifetime. Where fate allows you fully embrace and enjoy the moment you meet the love of your life. The kind where your casual "Hi, I'm Katie - Yeah, sure, I know what a farrier is -- No, no, I'm not a horse girl", turns into hours and hours of talking, exchanging of phone numbers, and an epic first date planned for the middle of June. Every moment was electric. Since the first day we met, over 9 years ago, not a day has gone by where we haven't spoken to each other. Through the first year of our relationship, long distance from New Orleans to Northampton, through multiple jobs, apartments, graduate school, hobbies, boats, snowmobiles, and fishing, “Oh, my!”, we've built our relationship on love and laughter and honesty. Every day, it just keeps getting better. When Eoin proposed, we couldn't wait to tell our family and friends. We were thrilled to begin planning our wedding so that we could share the best day of our lives with the ones we love the most. We are two of the world's luckiest people to have the family and friends that we have. We often sit around and talk about it -- "Gosh, we're freaking lucky". We are surrounded by people who have loved us for our whole lives or most of our lives or for just a few years. As our love has grown for each other, we're grateful for our life together, for our Baloo girl, and for the people who make up our world. We are beyond excited to be married and to share our promises and vows with each other, as you beautiful people bear witness. Here's to 9 years of history and a lifetime to look forward to!!
