We met at Murphy’s Bleachers in Wrigleyville in the middle of the pandemic, when the world felt a little upside down. It wasn’t the most likely setting for a love story, but somehow, in the middle of all the uncertainty, we found something pretty special in each other. Our first date was at The Violet Hour (RIP), a cozy little cocktail bar tucked away in Chicago. It was one of those nights where everything felt easy. Great conversation, dim lighting, incredible drinks, and lots of laughter. From that point on, we just kept showing up for each other. Over time, we built our own little rhythm. Annual fall trips to the pumpkin patch at Goebbert’s, weekend getaways to Milwaukee, and long walks along the Lakefront Trail. We had a New Year’s adventure in Puerto Rico, complete with road trips, beach sunsets, and fireworks to ring in the new year. That summer, we spent our first weekend together up at the cabin in Clitherall, Minnesota and everything felt right. Every memory layered on something deeper and more fun. The next year, we moved in together in Andersonville, just north of Wrigley Field, creating a home filled with music, laughter, and plenty of takeout. Today we are living in our new home in Minnesota, a new chapter in a new place but still the same us. Neighborhood walks, trying new food, fishing trips (some more successful than others), movie nights in, and plenty of reasons to smile along the way. Now we’re getting married (!), and we truly can’t wait to celebrate with all the people who mean the most to us. Thanks for being part of our story, we can’t wait to keep writing the next chapter together.
