En el primer semestre de Quique en UM (Agosto 2022), el tuvo que pedir permiso para entrar tarde a la clase “Safety and Ethics in Engineering”. Al final lo aceptaron, y lo metieron al azar en un grupo… ¡el de Jessica! Desde el primer día se sentó detrás de ella, y comenzaron una linda amistad. Con el tiempo, se hicieron cada vez más cercanos. Un día, trabajando juntos, juntaron los asientos…y en una mirada de Jessica a los ojos de Quique (como lo describe el), nació una chispa. Una llama que se encendió ese día…y aún sigue viva y más fuerte cada día! In his first semester at UM (Fall 2022), Quique had to ask a professor for permission to join “Safety and Ethics in Engineering” after it had already started. He got in and was randomly placed into a group that happened to include Jessica. From day one, he sat behind her, and a beautiful friendship began. As the semester went on, they grew closer. One day, working on a group assignment, they pushed their chairs together, and when Jessica looked into Quique’s eyes (according to him), something sparked. A flame was lit that day…one that still burns strong till this day!

Para empezar desde el principio…cuando Quique y Jessica apenas se estaban conociendo, habían hablado de querer ver juntos el amanecer. Lo planearon para el 8 de diciembre del 2022 y fueron al muelle cerca de la Ermita de la Caridad en Miami a las 6:30 AM. Después de disfrutar ese amanecer tan bonito, Quique le pidió a Jessica que “cerraran el contrato”, y así comenzó oficialmente su historia de amor. Un año y nueve meses después, el 8 de septiembre del 2024, volvieron a ese mismo lugar tan especial… y ahí Quique le pidió matrimonio a Jessica. Y el resto… es historia! To start from the beginning…when Quique and Jessica were just getting to know each other, they had talked about wanting to watch the sunrise together. They planned it for December 8, 2022, and met at the pier near La Ermita de la Caridad in Miami at 6:30 AM. After sharing a beautiful sunrise, Quique asked Jessica to “close the deal,” and that’s how their love story officially began. One year and nine months later, on September 8, 2024, they returned to that same special place… and there, Quique asked Jessica to marry him. And the rest…is history!
