FAQs

We’ll keep adding questions and answers as we get closer to our wedding weekend, but please let us know if you have a question you don’t see here and we’ll add it in.
Question

What’s the camp’s address?

Answer

Lake Bryn Mawr Camp, 593 Bryn Mawr Road, Honesdale PA 18431

Question

Do I need to book accommodations?

Answer

No! All you need to do is show up on May 20, 2022 and we’ll provide you with your accommodations. When you RSVP, you'll let us know if you’d like to share a cabin with friends, are happy to share with any other wedding guests, or would prefer to be alone, and we’ll do our best to accommodate those requests (but no promises). We also have a small number of semi-private and fully private rooms. All 3 accommodations styles have A/C, heat and nice attached bathrooms. Cabins are bunk bed style and there's a dorm style/cabin style bathroom attached. Semi-private rooms have twin beds (that can be pushed together to make a full) and they share a bathroom with one other semi-private room. Private rooms have double beds with their own bathroom.

Question

What about meals?

Answer

All of your meals from arrival to departure are included! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions, including any food allergies, vegetarian/vegan, gluten free, etc. FYI - Every meal will be kosher style (and all meat meals will have kosher meat). Also, we will be providing meals that meet stricter kosher standards for those who need it.

Question

What are the cabins like?

Answer

Each cabin has a private bathroom and a small number of bunk beds or twin beds (which can be pushed together if you’d like). We will provide your linens, blankets, pillows and towels, so you only need to bring bedding if you’d prefer your own.

Question

My children were invited for the weekend celebrations. What activities will be child friendly?

Answer

We will be having many activities throughout the weekend that your children will be able to participate in, including boating, arts and crafts, sports games, and the Olympics. Please note that certain activities like the challenge course have age restrictions set by the venue. If you have a baby or a young child, we strongly encourage you to use the babysitting we're providing during the ceremony and reception.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The whole weekend is casual except for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony and reception will be Garden Party Attire/Semi-Formal/Dressy Casual, meaning you could wear a dress, a pantsuit, slacks and a button down, a blouse and skirt, etc. We'll also post a suggested packing list on our wedding website when the weekend gets closer.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

YES! Please do! Rachel has an allergy and knows how awkward it can sometimes be to share a food allergy with event hosts, but we'd really appreciate it if you do so we can make sure you have delicious food (that's safe for you to eat!) all weekend!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The entire weekend's activities will be at Lake Bryn Mawr Camp and there is parking provided on-site.

Question

Do I need to bring sheets/blankets/linens?

Answer

No, your sheets, blankets, pillowcases, etc. will be provided for you. Please do pack a towel.
