Kelsey and Dylan’s story began in September 2008, when they first met in 7th grade at Case Middle School in Watertown, NY. From that moment, a deep and cherished friendship blossomed. Throughout high school, their bond grew stronger, with perhaps a few unspoken feelings lingering beneath the surface. Friends, family, and even teachers couldn’t help but speculate about the possibility of a romance between them. In 2014, Kelsey and Dylan attended Senior Prom together, following a charming owl pun-themed promposal—perfectly in line with Dylan’s playful nature. Their first official date on August 7th, 2014, was a delightful adventure of mini-golf, go-kart racing, dinner, and a movie. That first date represented impeccable timing on their part as they headed off to colleges on opposite sides of New York state about two weeks later.

During their college years, Kelsey and Dylan nurtured a long-distance romance, weaving their love through countless text messages, FaceTime dates, weekend visits, and treasured college breaks. Kelsey went to SUNY Geneseo to study special education and elementary education. Meanwhile, Dylan attended Rensseler Polytechnic Institute to study biomedical engineering.

After graduation, Dylan and Kelsey embarked on a new journey by relocating to Wisconsin. Dylan accepted a position at a medical software company and Kelsey pursued a masters in special education at the University of Wisconsin. Within their first two months in Wisconsin, they welcomed Auggie into their family. Auggie is a rescue dog who, despite his aversion to people, quickly captured their hearts and continues to claim their bed. In September 2021, Kelsey and Dylan took another significant step in their journey by purchasing their first home. The couple delights in the joys of homeownership and providing a spacious yard for their beloved Auggie.

Kelsey and Dylan love a good board game, and enjoy a bit of competition with each other. It was during a game of Clue that Dylan proposed in their home. Stories differ on whether Kelsey was the better player that night or Dylan let her get to the final accusation first. Upon making the final guess, Kelsey unveiled the answer to find it was actually "Dylan with the Ring at the Fireplace".

Dylan and Kelsey are excited to be married surrounded by their closest friends and family. The wedding will take place in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, five days before the eleventh anniversary of their first date. The couple cannot wait to see you all for their special day!
