Will the venue be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors on the north lawn. Cocktail hour will also be outdoors at the boat house, but the reception will be indoors. In case of light rain, umbrellas will be provided for the ceremony, and the boathouse will be covered. In case of heavy rain, the ceremony will be moved to a covered area.

What is the dress code?

Please wear formal attire such as a suit and tie for men and long solid colored dresses for ladies.

Is there parking?

Yes, the hotel offers parking for guests in one of their 4 parking garages.

Phone Policy

Answer

We kindly ask that phones not be out during the ceremony. We have a lovely photographer who will be taking amazing pictures! We want our guests to be in the moment with us during this occasion. But you're welcome to take pictures during cocktail hour and the reception.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Being in the Adirondack Mountains, springtime in Lake Placid can be a little chilly. Highs are typically in the 60s and lows in the 40s.

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

The name of every guest invited to attend will be listed on your invitation.

What type of food will be served?

Answer

Hors d'oeurves will be served during cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with your choice of entree. Options will be available for those with dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We’ll be hosting a consumption bar during the cocktail hour and reception—drinks are on us until a preset tab is reached! After that, the bar will switch to a cash bar for the remainder of the evening.
