Wedding Party

Meet the friends and family we are dragging down the isle with us! Plus a memory we cherish with each. The appreciation we have for our friends and family is hard to put into words!

Rita Carlin

Maid of Honor

Rita has been there since day one, literally, we were baptized together. She's been my cousin, my rock, my sister, and my best friend, through thick and thin. I refuse to pick one title for her and also won't bother trying to explain how thankful I am to have her in my life, there's no way to do it justice. She is truly one of a kind, as sweet and loving as she is sassy and strong. I always giggle when I recall the times we went 'pimping' at Bethany beach when we were tweens. Basically this meant we'd walk up and down the Sea Colony boardwalk at night, because we were the coolest. We also spent an incredible 2 weeks together (alone!) in Greece after we graduated high school. I don't want to know a world without her by my side and cant wait to share this day with our families.

Jason Owens

Best Man

I’ve known Jason since the day he was born and we’ve shared all major life events together ever since. He’s my favorite brother, my best friend and the obvious choice for my Best Man. This photo of us reminds me of how many times we had to ride the Log Flume at Busch Gardens and how wet we got in order to get him to finally look at the camera. So, if you’re about to take any pictures with him at the wedding, be sure to tell him where the camera is.

Myra Simon

Bridesmaid

Myra has a way of making people smile everywhere she goes. We met at Cherry Run elementary, but our friendship really took off in high school and continued to college and adulthood. Over the years she has made me cry from laughing a minimum of 3,000 times, and I'm not alone there. She has also always been my style guru and is the reason my hair actually looks good in this photo. All my favorite memories with Myra include laughing until my stomach hurts, stroopwaffles, and pansit (if you know, you know...its special stuff). Not to mention, she designed our wedding logo, programs and signage with her pro graphic design skills. Basically, without her love and advice over the years, I'd be a mess.

Larry Bostick

Groomsman

Larry and I’ve been working together in protection since 2018, when we had our first trip together to Milwaukee, WI. We’ve seen some pretty cool things in some pretty cool places. This picture reminds me of when we were regretting getting on a Morrocan Military helicopter and not the U.S. aircraft. He’s also the one to blame for my macro counting and obsession with nutrition, but in return is on the receiving end of all my snack pics. I’ve heard he’ll do just about anything for some nutter butters.

Nicole Mongeon

Bridesmaid

Anyone that knows Nikki would agree that it is impossible to pick a favorite memory with her, all of my favorite memories include her! She has a gift of making those around her feel so loved and I am extremely lucky to have been showered by her insightfulness, generosity and support ever since we met. And also lucky that our birthdays are 1 day apart, the wine bus birthday tradition she masterminded was never short of incredible. A moment with Nikki that I hold near and dear is when we hugged after her engagement to her husband Michael. This may seem like an odd choice given that we have literally thousands of amazing experiences together, but the emotion that we shared at that moment was unforgettable. And yes, I am as obsessed with her as I look in this picture.

Jack Farquhar

Groomsman

Jack and I met back in 2005 in the radiology department at Fort Bragg, NC. We weren’t immediately fond of each other, but the shared interest in Ford Mustangs sparked our friendship. We haven’t lived near each other since, but we’re always able to pick right back up where we left off. Apparently, Jack and I don’t like taking many pictures together either, because they were pretty difficult to find. So, ask Jack what was going on in this picture, because he was the only one that remembers it.

Christina Wykoff

Bridesmaid

Christina's fun spirit and love of life is addictive and she is the most real person I know. I was lucky enough to live about 8 houses away from her since birth. We did a lot of (dumb) things together throughout our childhood and teens but my favorite one to this day is when we decided to play barbie hairstylist...on each other. She cut off one my of curly pigtails and I cut her bangs in a lovely wavy line across her forehead. Right before school picture day and the holidays. If I had a picture of it, it would definitely be featured here. There is never a quiet moment with Christina in the best way possible. I can't wait share this day with her and her family, who have also been a huge support throughout my life as well.

Nate Ivey

Groomsman

I first met Nate in Columbus, GA in 2013 during our pre-deployment training for Afghanistan. Since then, our careers in protection have mirrored. He’s always able to keep the spirits high and will joke about anything and everything. There’s no such thing as “PC” for Nate. This is a picture of us right after we returned from our first deployment, enjoying a beer and a cigar. If anyone needs some tips on growing an epic Viking beard or other manly grooming advice, he’s your man. Otherwise, keep your distance, he may get you in trouble.

Carly Saxton

Bridesmaid

Carly's energy radiates and I've known since the day I met her that I'd want her around me forever. I can chat with Carly about anything for hours. This photo was not staged, it was a moment! One of my favorite memories with Carly is when she came to my condo in DC and we took our dogs to rock creek park to swim. We had taken our dogs for walks together before, but this time stuck out to me. It was one of my favorite places to go with my pup Rosie, but sharing it with her and Dart made it even more special. She always has the best advice and knows exactly what to say, good or bad! If I could hire a life coach, she'd be the one.

Stephen Leighton

Groomsman

Stephen and I met in 2018, when he and my sister started dating. He’s felt like a brother ever since and is now my brother-in-law. We’ve since shared several outdoor adventures and even escaped a couple of days at a downhill mountain bike park without injury. This is a picture of us celebrating at a baby shower, excited for the soon arrival of his first son, Owen. I bet you can’t shotgun a beer faster than him.

Megan Leighton

Bridesmaid

Without Megan's support, I'm pretty sure Keith would have given up on online dating - so really I have her to thank for helping me find my future husband! Megan is fun, honest and easy going and I have always felt at ease with her. My favorite memory with her is going on a kayaking adventure with her husband Stephen (also a groomsman) and the girls while Keith was deployed. She was always so supportive and often checked in on me and the dogs when he was gone. I hit the sister-in-law jackpot!

Evan Wells

Groomsman

I met Evan for the first time when I picked him up from the Kabul airport during our deployment to Afghanistan in 2019. Evan was my expert marksman on the team. Always enjoyed our time on the range, in the gym, and feeding our favorite cat, Cow-Cat. This photo documents how Evan knows no other clothing but military uniforms. This is me tying his tie for an event he was attending. If you see that his groomsman outfit is not like the others, please lend a helping, fashionable hand. Oh, and look out if Mariah comes on.
