Just like one-third of all current relationships, we met through a dating app. Towards the tail end of Covid, Emily swiped right on Danny because he didn't have any pictures with fish nor did he have Dave Matthew's Band in his profile. Danny swiped right because he saw a cute girl with a pop-punk/emo music taste. The app we met on was Bumble. On this specific app, the women must initiate the conversation. Emily opened up the conversation with "How are you Surviving?" From there on they had back and forth conversation leading up to the first date. Danny wanted to impress Emily and took her to a speakeasy inside of a Five Guys (The Garret). However, it was way too crowded for a time period where COVID was still very much a worry. Therefore, we pivoted and went to Brooklyneer. From there, we learned that we both worked in the same building directly across the street! What a small world! And the rest is history......
