Travel Note
Driving: Portland (PDX Airport) - Hood River: 1 hr Seattle - Hood River: 3 hrs 30 minutes Eugene - Hood River: 3 hrs 10 minutes Flying: The journey to Hood River from the PDX airport is an hour-long scenic drive along the Columbia River Gorge. For our out-of-town guests, we suggest you fly into Portland and rent a car to drive to Hood River. There are shuttle services to Hood River as well. SEATAC or EUG Airports are other options for those flying in. While you are in Portland, we suggest grabbing a bite to eat at some of our favorite restaurants (Bluto's for the best pita bread you'll ever have and G-Love for something fancy!) Be sure to stop and check out Multnomah Falls on the way to Hood River, which is one of the tallest year-round waterfalls in the United States. (You will see it on the highway 30 mins from PDX)
Hotel
A historical hotel that has been newly remodeled and is gorgeous inside. Rick and I toured this hotel and it is stunning! They do not do room blocks, so we recommend booking as soon as possible, as this will fill up fast for the summer! This hotel is central to downtown Hood River with walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Parking may be the only tricky aspect, as downtown can be busy. There is a restaurant and cafe attached and lot's of lounging and hang out spaces. Rooms are on the smaller side, but very comfortable and brand new, with great views. Amazing spa, hot soaking tub, and sauna downstairs!
Hotel
This one is also right on the river and very close to downtown Hood River, but with its own parking lot.
Hotel
If you are looking for a unique stay, this one is a great option. Just across the river on the Washington side (in Bingen), the Society Hotel offers a spa, pool, sauna, cold plunge, cafe & library. This has multiple hostel rooming options if you don't mind sharing a bathroom. Otherwise, rent one of the private cabins for a more luxe experience.
Hotel
As of 4/22, all rooms here are booked.
