Early January 2023 Isa was scrolling through Facebook and she saw Emmets profile and swiped right. Yay! She saw him in a pilot uniform (very handsome by the way) and she thought "wow, that is really cool". She has always had a dream to work in aviation either as a flight attendant or even a pilot herself, so were thinking that maybe this was destiny. They began to message each other and not long after that Emmet asked her if she would like to go on a date. Their first date was ice skating followed by a fancy hot chocolate at the local coffee shop. Yay! The following month on February 14th, (yes we know, Valentines day, how convenient) Emmet asked her if she would be his girlfriend. She said "eww, no"..... Just kidding! Obviously she said YES, and the rest is history.

On May 8th of 2024, Isa was waking up to go to work and Emmet was planning how to get the perfect proposal for Isa. He knew that a beautiful and surprising proposal was very important to her. He had gotten the engagement ring and couldn't wait any longer. He was too excited to begin this new journey with the woman he loves. He messaged Isa to come with him to see the new house that they were going to rent. This was the perfect disguise to tell her she had to wear nice clothes (we had to look nice for the realtor, of course!). Emmet knew that for a perfect proposal Isa would be wearing something nice with her hair and nails done up nice. This was all, of course, just a tad suspicious to Isa because "who cares what the realtor thinks". Adding to the suspicion was the fact Emmet had the ring in his blue fanny pack which he doesn't normally take out unless they are going somewhere where you might want the extra storage. After touring the new rental, Emmet suggested they go to the Pittsburgh Overlook in Mount Washington. "We can get some nice pictures and videos with my camera drone" was enough to quell most of the suspicion. After arriving (and finding the perfect time in between the other groups of people enjoying the views there) Emmet launched the drone and had it hover just slightly in front and above them with the beautiful city skyline in the background. He said "we can make a nice little video doing a dance in front of the skyline". Emmet spins her around and as her back is turned, he gets down on one knee and presents the ring. As Isa finishes her dancing turn, she couldn't believe her eyes. "Isa, will you make me the happiest man in the world and be my wife?" After some brief moments or surprise, disbelief, shock, and handful of excited little foot stomps, Isa replied back with a resounding "YES".

Many of you know we were married in the Pittsburgh Couthouse July 12, 2024 by a Justice of the Peace. At the time Isa’s family, who live in Brazil, were unable to procure visas. Now Isa’s father, who is a Pastor in Brazil, will walk Isa up the aisle and give a blessing on our marriage. And then the celebration begins. Can’t wait to see you!
