Arrival & Altar Decoration

As we celebrate our union, we invite you to bring a small artifact of love to place at our wedding altar. This could be a photo, a written prayer, a poem, a drawing, a symbol of your love story, an item reflecting G-d’s blessings in your life, or anything else that symbolizes love for you. These offerings will surround us during our vows, representing the love that has guided us in our relationship, and that we hope to continue to cultivate in community with you all. We are inviting guests to arrive before the ceremony to have time to place their offerings on the altar. You are also invited to recollect your offering at the end of the night before you leave and know that it has been imbued with a little extra love :)

The Purpose of this Gathering: to create a space where our families and our friends, despite their varied backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs, can share a communal experience that enables them to understand our love for one another, as well as our love for each of them.

One thing we love about our community is how brilliant and creative each of our loved ones is! In the spirit of making space to revel in that, at the end of the night, we will be hosting an Open Mic for any folks interested in sharing words or music as an offering to us as we enter this new stage of our relationship (2 MINUTES MAX). Sunday Picnic in the Park

On the day following the wedding, we will be hosting a picnic from 11:30am-1pm in one of our favorite parks (Pope John Paul II Park) near our home for any loved ones still around to hang out. It will be potluck style, but we will provide pizza and some refreshments for anyone who comes!
