Things To Do

February is a great time in Colorado, and we chose the long weekend date to give our travelling friends and family a chance to enjoy more than just our wedding- specifically, the peak skiing season.

Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain, CO 80443

Our favorite ski area, and a popular choice for locals. Naturally divided terrain makes it easy to pick runs that suit your skill level. Fun bars for adults, and great non-skiing activities for kids like a mountain coaster, snow tubing, and an ice maze. 60 miles from Denver, and the drive usually takes about 1h20m with good conditions to 2h30m with traffic. Recommend leaving later in the evening (and staying there overnight) or leaving early in the morning to avoid traffic. Tickets can be pricey. Plan ahead!

Loveland Ski Area

Interstate 70, Dillon, CO 80435

A great choice for skiing closer to the city, and ticket prices are a little more reasonable than the bigger resorts. Has a great "bunny-hill" for beginner-level skiers, and great terrain for upper-level skiers. Not much non-skiing activity immediately nearby.

Breckenridge

Breckenridge, CO 80424

This is a popular choice for tourists. A great town with a lot of restaurants, bars, and things to do nearby. Plentiful skiing too. 1h30m to 2h30m travel time from Denver.

Meow Wolf Denver | Convergence Station

1338 1st Street, Denver, CO 80204

Check out the famous Meow Wolf Convergence Station. A multi-story psychedelic funhouse art installation in Denver. Great for all ages, and a fun way to spend 2ish hours.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

2001 Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80205

We've been members here pretty much ever since Emmalee came out to Colorado. Look at dinosaurs (their bones, at least)! Look at mummies! Look at space stuff! Look at taxidermized beasts from around the globe! Look at models of your circulatory system! Look at laser shows! Look at rocks! Seriously though, it's pretty great.

The Huckleberry

700 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027

One of our favorite brunch spots, and very close to the wedding venue.

4 Noses Brewing Company

8855 West 116th Circle, Broomfield, CO 80021

4 Noses Brewing has been our favorite brewery ever since they opened up. Great variety of top-notch beers, regular visits from excellent food trucks, and a nice patio below Rocky Mountain Airport's landing path to watch general aviation airplanes fly around. 15 minutes from the venue.

Acreage by Stem Ciders

1380 Horizon Avenue, Lafayette, CO 80026

A beautiful spot to drink good cider while looking upon the Rocky Mountains.

Golden

Golden, CO

A neat town not far from the venue. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and parks.

Olde Town Arvada

Arvada, CO 80002

A favorite hangout spot. Lots of wonderful local restaurants. Our favorite spots include: Lady Nomada - tacos and margs. two of our favorite things. highly recommend getting the mini chile rellenos! Breadwinners - best breakfast spot around. lots of classic breakfast choices! Denver Beer Co and Mighty Burger - great beer and the best burgers. we might be slightly biased though... So Radish - completely vegan restaurant with the coolest arcade hidden in the back. highly recommend their meatball sub! Scrumptious - old school candies and handmade ice cream? YES PLEASE Schoolhouse - the atmosphere is unmatched! lovely food and lots of whiskeys!

For all the days along the way
