Velvet Robot has become one of the must stops for Emma and Rico when visiting Rockford! They specialize in some of the best cold brew around and offer a delightful breakfast and lunch menu. Located next door is Crust & Crumble bakery which offers flakey pastries, fluffy bread and coffee sourced from Collectivo located in Milwaukee, Wi-the couple recommends the almond croissant!
Rockford Art Deli
The art deli is one of many amazing locally owned shops along East State Street in downtown Rockford. The deli houses art from local artists as well as all the 815 merch you can find! This time of year, the streets are donned with lights and decor for the holiday so take a stroll and discover all the local gems!
Beef-A-Roo
Beef-a-roo is Rockford staple! There are several locations located through the Rockford area and are all themed different. They're one of the best fast foods restaurants in town and we recommend the cult classic: cheddar fries!!
Riverfront Museum Park
The Riverfront museum is home to the Rockford Art Museum and Discovery Center. As well, there is an underground passage which connects to the Burpee Museum of Natural History located next door. All three locations are Rockford area staples and fun for any age!
Shogun of Rockford
If you're craving sushi, hibachi or fried rice, look no further! There's also Izakaya 88, which offers a spin on bar food and a selection of sake and karaoke! Shogun is the bride's favorite sushi restaurant and recommends the BSCR and Rockford rolls!
Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens
The indoor conservatory houses a beautiful greenhouse as well as an outdoor path along the Rock River. This time of year, the conservatory and gardens are decorated with lights and displays for the holidays which are lovely during the day and spectacular at night!
