A winter fairytale still unfolding....

Our dream wedding, three years in the making.

Well here we go again with a new look, a new year and new sense of hope. Ricardo and I were set to have our dream wedding last December, but within 12 hours of our ceremony, we had to postpone the big celebration one year later due to the pandemic. After calming our tears, creating a new plan in the moment, and many, many phone calls later, we were still able to be wed on our original date, 12/21/21. Our incredible friend and officiant, Isaac Cooper, still planned on helping us keep our date. So bright and early on the first day of winter in 2021, Rico and I wore what would've been our rehearsal dinner outfits, grabbed our ring boxes and the marriage license and left on our car ride with what would be our last moments engaged. In front of the Davis Park Christmas tree along the Rock River, surrounded by a handful of beloved family and friends, we were married. Despite the cold wind, the circumstances and a truly surreal turn of events, we finally were able to call one another husband and wife. We are so happy to be married finally, but the wedding planning isn't over yet. We hope you'll be able to help us celebrate our one year anniversary and vow renewal this winter solstice! Rico hasn't seen the dress yet, we haven't had a chance to truly write our vows, or even share our first dance. It would mean an even larger part of the world to us to share that with those we love on the longest night of the year.
