Shawnee Hills Wine Trail
Southern Illinois is home to the Shawnee Hills wine trail home to over 12 wineries in the area. The newlyweds plan on spending their first Saturday married (the day after the wedding) going to just a few of their favorites! We will start at 11 AM at Feather Hills Winery and then go to Blue Sky at 1 PM. The Bride and groom will depart at around 3:00 PM. Consider this your invitation to join us!
ThrillHouse Family Entertainment Center
This is a recently opened, family friendly aracade/ go-kart, laser tag, food/drink place that just opened up not to far! This could be a fun family outing
Giant City State Park
This is Peyton and Emma's go to date night spot! They love hiking the trails and then getting some of the best fried chicken in So. IL at the Giant City Lodge. They also have cabin rentals that could be an option for your weekend arrangements (note that it is 30 minutes from the reception venue and 50 minutes from the church)
Garden of the Gods
This is about an hour and a half from the reception venue but if you have the time, this is a must do hike! Absolute gorgeous views!
Bald Knob Cross of Peace
We got engaged here! It's such a beautiful spot overlooking the valleys of So. IL (30 minutes from the reception venue) Note: 10 minutes from here is one of our favorite locally owned spots Havisham Bourbon Bar
