This is where we will be having our reception. It is about an 8-10 min walk from the ceremony space. A boutique hotel in the heart of Viejo San Juan, known for its artistic atmosphere, historic architecture, and romantic old-world feel. Spread across several restored colonial buildings, the inn features uniquely designed rooms, lush patios, rooftop ocean views, live music, and art-filled spaces that create a one-of-a-kind stay in Puerto Rico’s historic district.
Flight
For your trip to Puerto Rico, we recommend flying into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), which is the closest major airport to Old San Juan and the wedding venues. While SJU is a smaller airport, it can get quite busy, especially during peak travel times. If you’re checking luggage, be prepared for some wait time at baggage claim. You may notice men offering to help carry your bags to the curb—if you prefer to decline their assistance or tipping, just politely say “No gracias.” For your departure, we suggest arriving at least two hours early, especially if you don’t have TSA PreCheck, as security lines can be long. The airport is small but serves many travelers, and waiting in TSA lines for up to two hours is not uncommon. Planning ahead will help make your travel experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Flight
For guests seeking a bit of adventure, another option is flying into Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) on Puerto Rico’s beautiful west coast. This airport is much farther from Old San Juan—about a two-hour drive—and is best suited for those who plan to rent a car and explore. Like SJU, BQN is a small airport but tends to be less busy, making for a more relaxed arrival and departure experience. However, if you don’t have experience driving around chaotic drivers, heavy traffic, or occasional traffic light outages, we recommend sticking to SJU and local transportation instead, as navigating can be challenging for newcomers.
