By Car: Manteo is just a road trip away—about 4 hours from Richmond, VA, and 5 hours from Washington, D.C.
By Air: Flying in? The closest airports are Norfolk International (ORF), about 2 hours away, and Raleigh-Durham (RDU), about 4 hours away.
The Outer Banks is full of fun things to do—explore lighthouses, visit the Wright Brothers Memorial, shop local boutiques, grab fresh seafood, or just sink your toes in the sand.
