We met at Captain Lawerence Brewing company on July 14th, 2017 at a PT school meet and greet organized by Emma for the first and second year classes to mingle. We crossed paths around NYMC campus with head nods and smiles. After a flag football game, with blood dripping down Emma's knees, Jerret hoped and confirmed Emma was going to the NYMC fundraiser at Brother Jimmy's that night. At the bar, Emma approached Jerret as he was devouring bone-in wings and we've been inseparable ever since. We learned about each other, Jerret promised Emma he would teach her how to ski and in turn Emma would teach Jerret how to play basketball. Jerret went in for the kiss, right after Emma got a piece of gum from a random med student in the bathroom after she proclaimed "I think this boy is going to kiss me". Six days later, Jerret finally texted Emma and our story continued...

Jerret grew up skiing at Stratton Mountain in Vermont. It has always been a big part of his life, he attended a ski academy in his later high school years. Weekends in VT is one of our favorite getaways. On Memorial Day weekend, Jerret had planned a ride up in the gondola and then picnic at the top of the mountain. It was a beautiful, sunny day, so Emma decided to do a meditation, ironically on the topic of "patience". While Emma was doing her deep breathing, Jerret was sweating bullets leading up to his big moment. He finally got down on one knee and put the ring on Emma's finger before she could even see it and say YES!

We have been together for 6 years now and have already shared so many beautiful memories together. We were by each other's side through white coat ceremonies and earning our Doctorates. We've been lucky to travel to so many places together from the Grand Canyon, Mexico, California, Punta Cana and many in between. We've moved way too much from Ossining to Stamford to Norwalk and just bought our first home together in Brookfield.
