We first met in 6th grade at 10 years old - a favorite memory for Jeff is he vividly remembers meeting Emma on the 1st day as she hid behind her mom's legs to take in the new school. That moment led to a short and sweet time where we dated in middle school before deciding to remain best friends. What followed was the most steady, patient, and accepting friendship we have both ever experienced. We supported each other through hardships, heartbreaks, puberty, and more - keeping in contact when we parted ways for college in different states. After college we both ended up in Atlanta for our first jobs, and you would think we started dating, right? Wrong, we became roommates who continued to build on the most special friendship supporting each other, cooking meals together, and going on adventurous trips together for 3 more years. From the outside, many of our friends began to assume we would end up together, but we had to take the time to come to that conclusion on our own. One wonderful New Year's Eve, Jeff and I tackled the hard conversation of whether it was worth exploring a relationship and the rest is history. We have been together ever since. After buying a house together, Jeff proposed under a tree in the park by our house. We are beyond thrilled to be getting married after 20 years of friendship and love - continuing to write our uncommon but beautiful story.
