A classic. Slightly touristy, but actually amazing and very Chicago!
One of the best museums in the world
Grab a drink, people-watch, stroll along the water. If you want a beautiful long walk, take it all the way to the lake and it joins up with the lakefront trail
If you're interested in visiting the Bean
Au Cheval / Small Cheval – Iconic burger (Small is the burger counter version) NADC Burger – Our personal favorite burger spot Portillo’s – Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef (Jack recommends getting it extra dipped) Do-Rite Donuts – Best old fashioned donuts Time Out Market – Lots of Chicago chefs under one roof Lou Malnati’s or Pequod’s – Deep dish for those who want the full Chicago experience Cafe Yaya – Go for breakfast, the lamb bacon and pastries are truly insane Doma Cafe – Croatian-inspired café, famous for their breakfast sandwich (feature on The Bear)
Best shopping around the Lakeview/Wrigleyville area, tons of boutiques and name-brands
Personal favorite area for vintage or thrift shopping, cute boutiques, and record stores (Reckless Records is great, that's where we are in our engagement pictures)
Not sure if the Cubs will still be playing by then (Go Cubs!), but a fun area to walk around regardless. If you want to see where it all began, check out Old Crow Smokehouse :)
